I help manufacturers and small to medium businesses lower costs by reducing poor quality and raising revenue through ISO/AS Certification

Your Company Doesn't Need...
The Hidden Costs of Poor Quality
Struggling with defects, waste, or rework? Poor quality isn’t just a bump in the road—it’s a roadblock that chips away at your bottom line. Every rejected product, returned order, and customer complaint costs you more than you realize. We understand that you’re juggling a lot, but cutting corners on quality leads to higher operational expenses, frustrated customers, and dwindling profits. We’re here to help you fix that.
Losing Customers from Unreliable Quality
Every time a product doesn’t meet customer expectations, you risk more than a bad review—you risk losing that customer for good. Customers today demand reliability, and in manufacturing, that means getting it right the first time. With our expertise in ISO and AS certifications, we’ll help you maintain high standards and keep your customers loyal by delivering quality they can trust every time.
The Terrible Trap of Tribal Knowledge
When processes live only in the minds of a few key employees, your business is at risk. What happens when those employees leave, retire, or just take a vacation? Relying on tribal knowledge leads to inconsistency, inefficiency, and potential errors. True North Quality brings standardized processes and certification frameworks to your company, ensuring that quality doesn’t walk out the door with your employees.
Lack of Efficiency Draining Your Resources
Are your operations as efficient as they could be? Even minor inefficiencies across production lines can result in significant time and money lost. We identify the bottlenecks and inefficiencies that are holding you back and implement lean, effective systems that ensure you can meet demand without sacrificing quality or revenue.

"Tim was hired by Sentran in late 2014 as our Quality Manager. Tim’s masterfully set up Sentran’s initial Quality Management System (QMS) in a few months, to support an audit from Sentran’s largest customer. The audit was successful and allowed Sentran to acquire more business from this major customer. The initial QMS served as a great building block to move Sentran forward towards ISO 9001 certification. Tim successfully drove Sentran to ISO 9001 certification. Tim’s knowledge, abilities, and work ethic are exceptional. I am very appreciative of Tim’s service with Sentran, leaving us with a very robust QMS, that has given us even greater opportunity. I am pleased that Tim is venturing out on his own, and will continue to be involved with Sentran as a consultant through his company True North Quality."

Owner/President, Sentran LLC
"Tim worked on my staff and is an outstanding quality professional. His dedication and contributions to quality and safety was tremendously valuable to our customers, both external and internal. His ability to communicate and liaison with our project staff, engineering staff, and supplier base, provided the absolute best positive quality assurance. Customer requirements were understood and quality outputs were achieved to earn high customer satisfaction ratings. As an internal and external auditor, for our ISO 9001 processes, Tim possessed the maturity and auditing skills necessary to perform a very objective audit without seeming intimidating. This only comes from his many years of experience!"

My name is Tim Petersen. I live in the "True North" in Central Oregon with my wife, Mary, and our two golden retrievers, Todd and Kevin. We're here for the amazing outdoor life...golf, kayaking, fishing, bike riding, and so much more. The joy it brings us is second to none.
I’ve been around the block (35+ years) in the manufacturing quality world. I cut my teeth in military aerospace for 25 years before branching out into both manufacturing of military and commercial electronics, production of modular commercial and military training buildings, GM of two industrial janitorial equipment manufacturers, and finally to owning True North Quality, LLC. I started True North Quality when I saw a huge need to bolster quality management systems for the companies I worked for, the companies I managed, as well as vendors and clients I worked closely with on a day to day basis.
I look forward to meeting you and finding out how I can help grow your quality minded business and partner with you for many years.
